The page is about the 2017 FAI World Gliding Championships and our experiences there and relating to the effort…

I am putting the finishing touches on editing my nearly 80 hours of live cockpit video from Benalla, including the complete uninterrupted video of the Day win.  I remain amused by the explanation which was provided on my behalf at the US Team Camp in Cordele this spring.  I think the video will show, in great detail, how the strategy and thinking played out.  That video alone will be over 5 hours long, but I’m also creating a 40-minute version which shows what I think are the critical points.  I hope that some appreciate how fascinating FAI competition is and the intense concentration that is required to make strategies pay off.  I say this as the Good Old Boys continue to attack the FAI rules (while ignoring the safety issues of their dogma, US Rules, altogether).  The FAI rules, while not being perfect, are excellent for pilots who are not afraid of real racing competition, especially the scoring system, which discounts lucky flyers (such as starting early or late and making it around when the rest land out).
